Third
I visited Columbia College this weekend. While sitting in the photography class presentation, the professor was playing a slide show of his students' work. I was inspired by them and walked away with new creative ideas for my photos. It was also a beautiful day in Chicago, so afterwards I wandered around and took a few shots. Most of my class projects consist of pictures from the city. It's easier to get ideas in an area full of life.

Second
I didn’t even touch my camera this weekend. I was, however, around people taking pictures at a Halloween show that my friend’s band was playing at. Seeing these people photographing bands made me realize how much more exciting taking those pictures were, rather than the typical nature photos our class seems to run to whenever we are assigned a project. I have been doing that very same thing for over a year now, and to be completely honest I am bored with it. I just feel like the nature pictures we take are the same thing for everyone, just with different plants and objects in the picture. Taking pictures of bands is a new thing for me and very exciting overall. It’s more in the moment and spontaneous than what I’m used to. If I was to go into photography as my career, I think I would want to photograph at concerts.
